Not too surprisingly, mystery & detective women sleuths shortly after that show, I saw another where she mentioned that she had gone from the WW "maintenance" program back on to the diet program. |

| Nobody has ever complained about the "gluttony" of guys like that. As long as fun links you have big muscles or an extremely fast metabolism, no one will complain about how much you put away. At least not for men -- OTOH, if you're a woman and fun links you eat a lot but aren't fat, fun links people will probably wonder if you're bulimic. (I do know women who are big eaters, are thin, and not bulimic, however.) Men definitely have more latitude (no pun intended) in this area. Posted by ajoyce on November 12, 2003 03:42 PM. I agree that men do still have more latitude. I saw the dietician who plans menus for the New York Giants on Sara Moulton's show awhile back. As anyone who has ever watched Sara knows, she is very body obsessed, very preoccupied with fat & calories, always hungry but never allowing herself to eat much, & a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. One thing this dietician said which set my teeth on edge was "these guys need about 7000 calories per day, & a woman only needs 1600 calories per day." |
