Thanks to Ryan for the supportive comment, I can use all of them I can get. I think I hit my workout honeymoon period today. I felt fantastic! I did more with a harder effort than ever, and felt energized when it was over. If past experience is any guide, this is when I will see a bunch of improvements in strength and endurance, until I hit 5-6 weeks. At that point, progress slows down, and this is when it is most dangerous for me. |

| ;-) Wow, something I started noticing this week: the pain in my knees that my Dr. said was 'probably' the beginning of arthritis is starting to lessen. Since I don't think exercise cures arthritis, I plump beach girl have to plump beach girl assume something else is happening, or something else was wrong. Personally, I think it might've been a case of chronic tendenitis. It didn't hurt when I was siting or standing; it hurt (terribly) when I would stand up or sit down. Right below the kneecap. Basically, put plump beach girl any strain on the tendons, and it felt like a hot iron poking into my leg. I've been doing treadmill and stationary bike, purposely trying to keep some of the load off my knees (as you would see in walking or running outside) until I lose alot of weight. I guess the muscles and other tissue are getting strong enough to assist whatever was inflamed when I try to stand up, so I'm hurting less. |
