The Fat Man as Object of Disgust Apparently, it's open season on making fun of men with big bellies, because Amstel Light biography & autobiography / personal memoirs has gotten into the act with a new TV ad. The ad promotes Amstel Light as a low-carb beer, catering to the Atkins fad. That's fine, I suppose; it's an ad. The visuals start by showing us the midsections of people at a party. We see trim, toned stomachs biography & autobiography / personal memoirs on the women (and short shirts to show them off,) and topless, sculpted abdomens on the biography & autobiography / personal memoirs one or two men. Then, the crowd parts to show us... A fat man with a large stomach and a cut-off shirt, showing us his belly button. He's dancing, too, and making his stomach jiggle around. Oh, but that's not all. As recently mentioned in the Gab Cafe, GM is using a print ad with a similar tactic.
