Here's a picture I took with my half-assed cell phone camera, just to give you an idea of our perspective. There were so many kids swimming at this thing, each race was busted-up into as many as six heats for each age group. That meant that any one of the thirty-seven races could take a full hour to complete. |

So there we were, driving down the interstate in what felt like the middle of the night -- on the day of the week traditionally reserved for lying around the house and wallowing like a hog. |
