David Stern is dissed for the new dressing code, among other things. We yell and complain about all of these guys... But not Paul Tagliabue. And for good reason, when Tag took over about 20 years ago, the NFL wasn't nearly the empire it was now. It was a testing big time sport, but not really "The" big time sport it is today. Tag has done great, he has helped fix all of the labor problems making sure his league will prosper. He's marketed games and players very well. In fact I really can't think of any huge mistakes that he has made. Which brings me to...what if he retires? There is a lot of talk about Tag retiring this year as the commissioner. I ask, what does that mean for the NFL? |

With Brees now, It doesn't seem likely that they will wmd policy use that pick on a QB. I think the best player they could get is D'Brickashaw Ferguson. But with the holes in that D, they may trade the pick and get many lower picks to get more players. Because there always could be a diamond in the rough, many good players have come late in the draft. Also this just in. The Cowboys have released Keyshawn Johnson, which makes you wonder, Terrell Owens??? Terry Glenn is really the only other reciever they have although Witten is a good tight end. I somehow don't see this working, TO would be working with a hardass coach like Parcells.
