Lori Says: October 7th, simple party food 2005 at 9:55 am Good diet, bad simple party food diet — does it matter? The guy is doing something he wants to do and giving no excuses or asking any favors (except for the occasional one for water or breaks on the lawn). Kudos to the “Fat Man simple party food Walking” and the article, loved it. Rob Says: October 9th, 2005 at 6:39 pm Okay, I am going to patiently wait to see your commentary on the latest Fat Man Walking journal entries. I am not sure if I am seeing it right, or if I am way off. Steve’s original goal was: “I am going to walk across the United States from San Diego to NYC to lose weight and regain my life!” However, I see in his guest book that enablers keep cheering his slowdowns and “bisquits and gravy” comments with statements like: “I kept wondering when you were going to rediscover the old saw, ‘enjoy the journey …’ ” Steve defensively has internalized these comments.
